ANOTHER (NYC) TRASH TRUCK SPILL ON THE WAY TO SENECA MEADOWS

September 8, 2006

In the small town on Locke, NY, just southeast of Auburn, NY, a truck that was haulng garbage from New York City to the Seneca Meadows landfill in Seneca Falls tipped its rig on its side and dumped its load after careening into utility poles at its downtown intersection of routes 90 and 38.

Workers from the NY state Department of Environmental Conservation helped to clean up the mess, which included leaked diesel fuel, for the next two days.
